2014 NYC Fashion Week Compilation

After looking at many of the different designs that graced the runways, I’ve compiled things that are inspiring or things that I would wear. Of course, with any runway show, you find a ton of far out outfits that make you wonder if you’re being Punk’d. Some of the pieces in the photo compilation below isn’t something I’d wear exactly off of the runway, but I like particular elements to help me personal style evolve.

I tend to lean toward clothing to complement my curves. I don’t like very boxy piece on me because I’m busty and that definitely doesn’t compliment my shape. I prefer scoop necks, v-necks, and sweetheart necklines to flatter the bust line. I’m hoping to find some tulip skirts because I’ve really been loving the shape of those. I’m also in the market for a leather jacket, and a little black dress.

A few of my favorite designers were Rachel Zoe, Zac Posen, Michael Kors, and DVF.

Mercedes- Benz Fashion Week NYC

 

I’m actually excited to see NY Fashion Week this year. NY Fashion Week takes place on September 5th through the 12th.  Collections for Spring 2014 by a slew of different designers like Nicholas K, BCBGMAXAZARIA, Rebecca Minkoff, Nicole Miller, Lela Rose, Diane Von Furstenberg and J. Crew to name a few (see what I just did there?) will be showcased.

I, unfortunately, don’t live in New York anymore so I won’t physically be there. But, for those of you who still want to watch, it will be streaming LIVE here.

Runway doesn’t dictate what I like or don’t like. I think it’s a great way to see to things that are stylistically different from you, challenge you to evolve your personal style, and be exposed to different designers.

So in less than a few days time, I’ll be lurking and stalking Fashion Week online and will report back to you on some of the pieces I like.
