I saw this really cool post on The Wisdom Journal about ways to essentially trick yourself into saving money. Many of these ideas are new to me, but the premise boils down to this: wherever you didn’t spend money where you could have, save it instead. For example, No. 16 is “Own your own laundromat.” The idea behind this is that you give yourself a quarter (or however much you decide) every time you do laundry.
A big money saving tip that I abide by is paying myself as if I were paying any other bill.
